Dave's Cocoa Granola Being identical twins, we have always been super-competitive (we came out competing for love and attention!). Breakfast has always been our favourite meal of the day. A friend used to call us 'cereal killers' as we could put away a full box of cereal in one sitting! Granola is something we love and we both think we make the best granola!! When he was a kid, Dave always wanted to eat chocolate-tasting cereals for breakfast but mom (thankfully!) wouldn't let him! So, to honour his inner child he created this crunchy cocoa granola ! Cool Jim's Granola Dave was just finishing up a shift cooking in The Happy Pear kitchen when he met a lovely American man called Jim in the cafe. They got chatting and somehow granola came up. Jim was extremely into granola and had made it for years in a healthy hospital in San Francisco. He had the recipe in his head and said to Dave, "Hey man, if the kitchen is free, I'm free for an hour, I can make it with you now. We can see if it's better than Your granola!" So that was it, he came into the kitchen and showed Dave how to do it and this is The basis of our scrumptious recipe! Hence the name "Cool Jim's Granola." We love adding fresh blueberries to ours, why not give it a go!

Just like Elsie we love this nuttier muesli, particularly because we use activated grains in it - "what's an activated grain” we hear you wonder? We germinate the grains, awakening lots of the nutrition in them and making them sweeter and in the process easier to digest. We love this muesli as a delicious brekkie with oat milk and some berries, as a healthy snack on the go, and we have even covered it in chocolate and turned them into crispy chocolate crunches!
